Description

This program is designed to help you improve access to historical records while engaging the public with history and democracy. You can receive up to $150,000 to support your project. This funding can be used for various activities, such as digitizing records, creating online finding aids, and organizing collections. It’s a chance to showcase important pieces of American history, including the narratives of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.

The grant is available for a duration of one to two years. While the program covers up to 75% of your project costs, you will need to contribute the remaining 25%. This means if you aim for the full $150,000, you’ll need to provide $50,000 in your budget. The funding allows you to preserve historical records in a way that increases public understanding of our nation's legal and cultural evolution.

Ultimately, this program offers a unique opportunity for your business to connect with your community, promote civic education, and contribute to preserving a vital part of our democracy. It's a meaningful way to make an impact—and it's supported by funding to help you achieve your goals.
